Tuesday 1/15

Well today is my second day coming to this web site.  I am trying to learn my way around here and figure out how all this works so y’all please have patience.

Ok I finally went and weighed this morning.  Took some work to develop the courage to face the bad news.  I have been in this body for almost 55 years so I had a pretty good idea what the number was going to be.  It was 338.  So my guess of 335 was pretty close.  Ok so I passed that milestone of getting on the scale.  Now we know the truth and have a benchmark we can move forward and map our progress.  After the weigh in I hopped on that eliptical machine for 35 min and then walked on a tread mill for another 30.  I felt really good exercising this morning but didn’t want to over do it.  Meals today will be oatmeal and a banana in the morning.  Salad for lunch.  Chicken breast or lean meat and a veggie for dinner.

On a different subject,  How can you edit your weight?  I posted a weight yesterday but wanted to ammend it.  Also, how often can you post it?  Weekly?  Does it promt you automatically?  If anyone has some helpful suggestions on how to learn to move around on this site please let me know.

I wish everyone a healthy happy day!

Getting started is the hardest part…Good job facing the “demon scale” - As you continue to eat right and exercise it might not be so bad to get on there once in a while!

I think you can enter your weight as often as you like by clicking “weigh in” - I weigh in weekly so I don’t get obsessed with the day to day fluxs of weight loss but you do it however works for you!

Jenn is right, go to the home page and hit weigh in, it will promp you for the rest.

    Great job on the workout!

I know it sucks to get on the scale, but it’s the only way for you to truly track your progress.

Next week that number will change.

Great job honey. You have to know where you are starting at to work your “weigh” to where you wanna be. I would say to weigh in once a week. I weigh in every Saturday. If you ever have a week that you don’t lose weight don’t freak out. You will plateau sometimes, besides sometimes you lose inches and gain muscle. Muscle in the end makes your body burn more all day long. Sounds like your food is okay. Do you cook for yourself? Or do you have a wife to do that, or order something? You are so inspirational to me. I can’t wait to see all the progress you are going to make. Keep it up babe.

I do have a great wife but I do cook for both of us. At the weight that I am at now I a long way from a plateau if I stick to my plan. I have been here before and I will loose at least five pounds a week. Just need to keep my mouth shut and my feet moving! You are a great bud Danielle. Thanks for being here.
